This is my Guide go bare with me here, after reading all the posts about people messing up their receivers and reading about the “voltage regulator method” I decided it made sense but felt there was needless parts in there still. You need a fresh 9volt battery and maybe another AA or C or D either will work since they supply 1.5 volts.
So here we go:

2 find sb35, you need to take a razor blade and carefully cut the trace in half, after cutting take an multi-meter and check and make sure there is no continuity between sb35 and “the spot” (more on the spot later.) note it runs in the middle of the 5 and to the left of the B

you must be careful as you can see I just about cut the other trace also. Be careful and take your time.
Next we solder one piece of wire 6 inches
long or so to sb35
Solder this wire to the + on the 9-volt
battery. For the ground on the battery, I just simply grounded it using the screw
here
I then taped the battery to the
tuner so it wouldn’t flop around and accidentally short something out. Note I also
wrapped the battery in electrical tape so it wouldn’t short anything out also.
I’ve done a couple of these like this and never had a problem this was a dala build and I did the supposivedly dreaded DAMA build and it worked like a charm there also, however on this occasion the battery wasn’t fully charged and I ran a c battery in series which yielded enough volts for this to work however whenever you use a fully charged 9v I’ve never had a problem.
Open up j keys which is included in this click on flash programming, then go to address 7FFFFFAC and change it to 0000
Verify that it changed to 0000 then perform the final step.
Final step is to remove the ground wire and the positive from sb35, YOU MUST then correct the cut trace by soldering a small wire from sb35 to the “spot”
Be careful When
soldering to the “spot”

You should now be ready to use any card you wish in your 301-013 congratulations
Feel free to make any corrections or additions as you see fit. I am just another Dave castoff and was initially astonished that there wasn’t more freeware available, I guess the dishnet people have heard of what dave did to the dealers and how well dealers maintain their records.
Bob11 or whatever im going by these days,
If you don’t have a fresh 9v or for whatever reason it will not work for you you can add another 1.5 volt battery in series to give you 11.1 volts.
